Henry Cavill could be the star of Netflix the magician Serial, but it is far from the only star. He is joined by Freya Allen and Anya Chalotra, who play Siri and Yennefer, respectively. It is clear that all three will return for a third season. There is no show without them. However, it appears that one character and acting talent may not return, Adjoa Andoh, aka Priestess Nenneke. Nenneke is a major character, however it looks like she might not be in season 3.
“Yes, I don’t know. We’ll see,” Andoh said if she’ll be back for season three or not. “The books are so huge. And they’ve gone so many different ways in the stories. Nenneke is in the books a lot. But that depends on what they want to do, you know, this version of it. It’s totally about what the show’s creators want to do with material from the books and how they want to change that, So we will wait and see.
To be fair, Season 3 is basically an adaptation contempt time, which is a book in which Neneki does not play a prominent role, so perhaps this should not be surprising. Having said that, while the show does adapt books, it’s not always adapted very honestly, so there’s definitely room in Season 3 for Neneke to play a big part. And with the actress ever bigger courtesy BridgetonYou wouldn’t be surprised to see Netflix take advantage of that.
